SnapAlley Photo Contest Rules

You will be DISQUALIFIED if you do not adhere to the rules

Rules

  1. Submitted images must be no larger than 1000 pixels width & 720 pixels in height and a maximum of 500kb
  2. All entries must be submitted during the competition period, which is from the 1st day of each month to the last day of the month , midnight to midnight (GMT
  3. You may only enter one photo into each competition. Additional entries will result in all entries being removed.

Terms and Conditions SnapAlley reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules and terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these terms and conditions or the competition details.

ENTRANTS RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Please do not post any photographs that are obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or which otherwise violate any local or international laws. Staff of SnapAlley will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not and act accordingly. Photographs of the above nature being posted will lead to a permanent ban from SnapAlley.
  2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter SnapAlleys competitions. If you are below the age of 18 you must obtain consent from your parent or guardian to enter SnapAlleys competitions.
  3. If you have any problems and need support or just have a question relating to the current competition you must contact a member of the Team and are not permitted to make any post in any public areas. Any public posts during the submission and voting process of the competition will be deleted and may lead to your entry being disqualified.
  4. Photos uploaded to competitions cannot be deleted and will remain in the allocated competition viewing gallery (see usage rights)
  5. No Nudity. Baby must at least be wearing a nappy/diaper and no make-up, there are no exceptions
COPYRIGHT
  1. The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered in to the competition. SnapAlley respects photographers rights and does not claim copyright for images You submit to this contest, You will retain full copyright in each entry. In addition your moral rights are respected. Whenever Your image is published by SnapAlley You will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition.
USAGE RIGHTS
  1. By entering this contest You agree that any winning image You submit may be used by SnapAlley solely for the purposes of this contest or future contests and no other purpose, these uses include; displaying the entries on the competition website, cropping and re-sizing the image as necessary to fit pre-defined formats for the competition.
  2. You hereby grant SnapAlley a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence in each Entry for the uses described in 1. above for 1 year following the date of announcement of the winner, thereafter the image may only be used for archival purposes on SnapAlley.
  3. You acknowledge Your responsibility for protecting your Entry against image misuse by third parties, by for example, but not limited to, the insertion of a watermark, retaining Exif data. SnapAlley and its Sponsors can assume no responsibility and are not liable for any image misuse.
  4. Should any image uses beyond those needed for the contest arise You will be contacted and given the opportunity to negotiate any such usage with the parties concerned independently of the competition.

JUDGING

  1. Our panel of judges will asses all entries and then select three images, one which will be the overall winner and the other two will be runners up in the contest, only the winner will receive the prize of an acrylic print, the runner ups will gain exposure.
  2. The judges decision is final and they do not enter in to communication relating to entries.

PRIZES

  1. Although we endeavour to provide quality prizes via sponsoring companies, SnapAlley can not warrant the quality of their product/service and you agree not to hold SnapAlley, or it’s staff liable for any losses costs or liabilities that may arise in association with the prize(s) or sponsoring companies
  2. Details relating to any prizes will be sent to the winner within 30 days of the winner being announced.

By entering our competitions you are deemed to have read and agree with these rules & terms

Once submitted you will not be able to see your own, or other entries until the winner is announced.
SnapAlleys Rules may change from time to time and you will be made aware of this by the last updated date that is displayed at the top of this document.
